Executive Chairperson

Nousrath Bhugeloo is the Executive Chairperson of Nexus Global Financial Services Limited. She has over 20 years of experience in corporate services.
She is a business leader with recognised expertise in advising multinationals, funds, family offices and individual entrepreneurs on their value enhancing strategy and cross border business. Nousrath sits on the board of a number of companies and funds active in Africa. In a previous position, she spearheaded the growth strategy at ABAX, which was acquired by Ocorian in 2018. Pursuing an Africa-focused strategy, she was instrumental in the expansion and growth of the Africa-led business of the firm. She is an Associate Member of the Chartered Governance Institute and holds an Executive MBA from Essex Business School. She is an active member of women-in-business networks.

Director

Ahmud Ismael Parwiz Jugoo is a non-executive director of Nexus Global Financial Services Limited. Mr. Jugoo is a barrister-at-law and currently practices law in corporate and financial services in Mauritius. Previously Mr. Jugoo has held the positions of CEO of MADACOM S.A. in Madagascar and Legal Counsel of Celtel, Zain (MTC Group) and Airtel.
Mr. Jugoo has acted as legal advisor to multiple large telecom multinationals in numerous bids for telecommunications licenses worldwide, and was part of M&A teams during major transactions in those telecom groups. He has acted as legal advisor to the Distacom Group, which owned Orange (now PCCW) in Hong Kong, Spice Telecom in India, and MADACOM S.A. in Madagascar. Mr. Jugoo advised on GSM license bids in Ivory Coast, DRC, Mayotte, Comoros, Anjouan, Mauritius, South Africa and Lebanon. Mr. Jugoo was a pupil of Lord Marks QC of the Inner Temple, England, and of Nicolas Sorensen of the Barreau d’Aix-en-Provence, France. Mr. Jugoo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Mauritius.

Narvin Bhugawn is a degree holder in Finance from the University of Mauritius. He is currently an Associate Director at Nexus Global Financial
Services Limited (Nexus) where he is responsible for corporate administration, company secretarial and relationship management duties. He also acts as a director on various Global Business Licence Companies and Authorised Companies under the administration of Nexus. In a previous position, he was an Associate Manager at Ocorian Corporate Services (Mauritius) Ltd (previously known as ABAX) where he worked for 9 years in corporate administration.

Yoshanee Boodia is an MBA graduate from the University of Northampton. She has been working in the Global Business sector for the past fifteen (15) years. Yoshanee currently holds the position of Associate Director at Nexus Global Financial Services Ltd (Nexus) where she handles a portfolio of clients under the administration of Nexus including Global Business Companies, Authorised Companies as well as Global Business Companies having specialised licences. Yoshanee was formerly Manager-Client Administration, at Ocorian Corporate Services (Mauritius) Ltd in the Alternative Investments Department. During her previous employments with other reputed management companies, Yoshanee has been the Relationship Manager for various clients, delivering services on corporate and fund administration, company secretarial matters, whilst also being responsible for direct people management.

Naweed is currently the Chief Financial Officer of the firm. He had cumulated 15 years of work experience before joining the Nexus team. He spent eight years of his career in the audit sector working for three of the Big Four companies namely PwC, EY and KPMG and more recently spent more than three years with IQEQ Mauritius. Through his audit journey, he has acquired valuable knowledge by getting exposure to a wide range of companies including banks, funds and listed companies. At IQEQ, he worked in the Fund team looking at the accounting side of a portfolio of both closed and open-ended funds before joining the Financial Statement Preparation and Review team where he specialised in the review of IFRS financial statements.

Kjell Ekstrom is an Associate Member of the Chartered Governance Institute and is a member of the Mauritius Institute of Directors. (MIOD)

He has been working in the Global Business sector for the past twenty-two (22) years and has achieved excellency in servicing both local and global corporations as well as international high net worth individuals.

Kjell currently holds the position of Director at Nexus Global Financial Services Ltd (Nexus) where he heads up the Operations of the Company.

Out of college, Kjell started his career as a Trust Administrator at Standard Bank Trust Company (Mauritius) Ltd and then moved to Abax Corporate Services Ltd now known as Ocorian where he rose through the ranks to become Associate Director of Operations.

Kjell has then held the position of COO of Dolphin Management Services Ltd.

Prior to joining Nexus, Kjell was Executive Director/ Head of Operations at Brent Consulta Management Services Limited.

Girish is a degree holder in Management (Minor: Finance) from the University of Mauritius. He has been working in the Global Business Sector for over 11 years. He currently holds the post of Senior Manager at Nexus Global Financial Services Limited (“Nexus”) where he is responsible for Fund Administration, Company Secretarial and Relationship Management duties. He also acts as a director on various Global Business Licence Companies and Authorised Companies under the administration of Nexus. In a previous position, he was an Associate Manager at IQ EQ Global Business (Mauritius) Ltd, where he worked for 9 years in Fund, Corporate, Trust, Foundations and Domestic Structures. Girish is also a former trader of financial derivatives at GHF Futures Ltd.

Jenna is a Senior Corporate Administrative Officer. With over 15 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry, she brings her wealth of experience and diverse skills set to the table. Her background in customer service, legal affairs, and human resources positions her as an asset in ensuring the smooth functioning of corporate operations. Jenna’s ability to seamlessly transition between divisions speaks to her versatility, making her an integral part of the Nexus team.

Tiffany is a dedicated Corporate Administrator with a management diploma from MCCI Business School and a background as a Sales Representative in a signage company. Meticulously detail oriented, she brings passion and precision to her role, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks. Committed to contributing to organisational success, Tiffany leverages her skills to enhance the company’s endeavours. Beyond work, her interest in interior design reflects a balance of analytical prowess and aesthetic flair. Excited to be part of the team, she thrives on the intersection of precision and passion, driving excellence in every aspect of corporate administration.

Darina Armoogum is currently a Corporate Administrator at Nexus Global Financial Services Limited (Nexus). She is a degree holder in Law and Management from Open University of Mauritius. She is responsible for company secretarial and administration of different types of structures falling under the Mauritian Global Business and other jurisdictions. Prior to joining Nexus, Darina was working as Customer Service Advisor at BlueConnect Ltd while pursuing her degree.

Smitee Bhugowandeen is currently a Corporate Administrator at Nexus Global Financial Services Limited (Nexus). She is a degree holder in Business Management with Specialization in Marketing from Open University of Mauritius. She is responsible for company secretarial and administration of different types of structures falling under the Mauritian Global Business and other jurisdictions. Prior to joining Nexus, Smitee was working as Business Support Assistant with CIM Financial Services Ltd while pursuing her degree.

Rebecca Baseme is a graduate with an honors degree in Business Management from the African Leadership College/Glasgow Caledonian University.
During her past professional experiences, she gained skills in accounting, business development and customer services.
She currently holds the position of Junior Corporate Administrator at Nexus Global Financial Services Limited.

With over 14 years of experience in Administrative and HR duties, Manisha recognises the pivotal role of an independent mediator in ensuring the organisation’s welfare. She strongly advocates for HR Outsourcing services, emphasizing the value of an external perspective in shaping the HR department’s evolution in an organisation. Her professional journey spreads over 20 years across diverse industries implying the Freight Forwarding, Aviation, ICT, and Administrative and HR fields. Her expertise extends to serving as Company Secretary for several Mauritian companies.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Manisha is a member of the Board of Good, a Mauritian platform for Women Directors empowering Mauritian Women Leaders who embody the principles of moral and inclusive leadership; a member of MBN – Mauritius Business Network; a member of the AMFCE – Association Mauricienne des Femmes Chefs d’Entreprises. Notably, she is the Founder and Secretary of the Star and Key Association in Mauritius, committed to enhancing educational programs, promoting environmental sustainability, fostering multiculturalism and community respect, and supporting to alleviate poverty by providing a decent living to the needy.

An experienced professional marketeer and communication specialist, Gilbert brings a wide expertise across a range of competencies and industries. A rational mind, with a proven capacity to think strategically and execute plans methodically, Gilbert delivers on communication goals across channels and targets. He looks after the firm’s marketing and communication.

Marie Behrens embodies a serial entrepreneur’s spirit and a seasoned Business Development professional. Her extensive 15-year international journey spans forging pivotal partnerships and curating sustainable value for industry leaders. Her forte lies in identifying advantageous ecosystems to drive lasting value, forming robust business alliances, and optimizing operations. Marie currently holds the position of Business Development Director at Nexus Global Financial Services Limited, leading teams, spotting opportunities and fostering genuine relationships built on integrity.

Didier is a 27-year-old professional with a solid educational foundation, having earned a BA (Hons) in Law with Management and an LLM in International Business Law with a pathway to Mediation and Arbitration. He is furthermore a member of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists.

Professionally, he is a Compliance Manager and Deputy MLRO. His skills include expertise in compliance and anti-money laundering. Beyond work, Didier enjoys activities like hiking and photography. In the past, he has contributed as the Director of Public Relations for the Rotaract Club, showcasing his commitment to community engagement and leadership.

Adarsh is currently an Accountant in the Client Accounting department of the firm. Prior to joining Nexus, he worked for eight months as a trainee fund accountant where he gathered experience in fund – NAV preparation and client accounting. He currently holds a portfolio of clients and looks after their accounting. He is currently studying ACCA.

Farhaan is currently an Accountant in the Client Accounting department of the firm. He had cumulated 4 years of working experience before joining Nexus. He spent two years of his career in the offshore sector working for BDO Solutions Ltd in the service charge department in collaboration with BDO UK and thereafter he spent two years with UHY Advisory Ltd, an accounting firm. During his accounting journey, he acquired valuable knowledge through exposure to a wide range of sectors including hospitality, food and distribution and construction.

Assif is currently an Accountant in the Client Accounting department of the firm. He had cumulated 1 year and 6 months of working experience before joining Nexus. He spent one year and 6 months working at UHY Advisory Ltd, an accounting firm. During his accounting journey, he acquired valuable knowledge through exposure to a wide range of sectors including hospitality, food and distribution and construction.

Noor has 15 years of professional experience spent wholly in the finance sector. Before joining Nexus, she worked at Shibani Finance Co Ltd. Prior to joining the back office in the accounting department of Shibani Finance she worked at the front office in different branches as foreign exchange dealer. Prior to her position as Assistant Accountant she worked as Accounts Officer. These posts have enabled her to gain valuable accounting knowledge in relation to financial institutions. During her last few years at Shibani, she worked alongside the CEO. She gained valuable experience in many different fields including the opportunity to assist different external auditors during the annual audit. She is a level 2 ACCA student.

Elodie joined the company two years ago as a trainee while pursuing her undergraduate degree in Accounting with Finance. She is currently an accountant. She is passionate about her work and is self-motivated. Her main responsibilities as an accountant are billings, cashflow & debtors management, VAT returns and client accounting for Global Business Licence companies and Authorised Companies. She aspires to grow personally and professionally within the organisation and aims for a higher position in the long term.

Richeline has been present at the office since its inception. An office manager with outstanding organisation skills, she deals with all her administrative tasks with zeal and celerity. A key member of the company, her role is crucial as she ensures the office administration is run smoothly. A dedicated person-oriented individual, she makes sure no birthday at the office goes without celebration. With a flair for design and decoration, all office celebrations under her control are executed in a masterly fashion.
