Nexus Global Financial Services Limited is a licensed Management Company providing corporate, trust, fiduciary and fund administration services to a global clientele. Headquartered in Mauritius, we serve clients with a particular focus on the African continent, where we maintain a strong presence through an extensive network of partners, clients and associates.

Nousrath Bhugeloo

Executive Chairperson

Nousrath Bhugeloo is the Executive Chairperson of Nexus Global Financial Services Limited. She has over 20 years of experience in corporate services.
She is a business leader with recognised expertise in advising multinationals, funds, family offices and individual entrepreneurs on their value enhancing strategy and cross border business. Nousrath sits on the board of a number of companies and funds active in Africa. In a previous position, she spearheaded the growth strategy at ABAX, which was acquired by Ocorian in 2018. Pursuing an Africa-focused strategy, she was instrumental in the expansion and growth of the Africa-led business of the firm. She is an Associate Member of the Chartered Governance Institute and holds an Executive MBA from Essex Business School. She is an active member of women-in-business networks.

Ahmud Ismael Parwiz Jugoo

Executive Chairperson

Ahmud Ismael Parwiz Jugoo is a non-executive director of Nexus Global Financial Services Limited. Mr. Jugoo is a barrister-at-law and currently practices law in corporate and financial services in Mauritius. Previously Mr. Jugoo has held the positions of CEO of MADACOM S.A. in Madagascar and Legal Counsel of Celtel, Zain (MTC Group) and Airtel.


Mr. Jugoo has acted as legal advisor to multiple large telecom multinationals in numerous bids for telecommunications licenses worldwide, and was part of M&A teams during major transactions in those telecom groups. He has acted as legal advisor to the Distacom Group, which owned Orange (now PCCW) in Hong Kong, Spice Telecom in India, and MADACOM S.A. in Madagascar. Mr. Jugoo advised on GSM license bids in Ivory Coast, DRC, Mayotte, Comoros, Anjouan, Mauritius, South Africa and Lebanon. Mr. Jugoo was a pupil of Lord Marks QC of the Inner Temple, England, and of Nicolas Sorensen of the Barreau d’Aix-en-Provence, France. Mr. Jugoo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Mauritius.

 

Naweed Bhugeloo

Chief Financial Officer

Naweed is currently the Chief Financial Officer of the firm. He had cumulated 15 years of work experience before joining the Nexus team. He spent eight years of his career in the audit sector working for three of the Big Four companies namely PwC, EY and KPMG and more recently spent more than three years with IQEQ Mauritius. Through his audit journey, he has acquired valuable knowledge by getting exposure to a wide range of companies including banks, funds and listed companies. At IQEQ, he worked in the Fund team looking at the accounting side of a portfolio of both closed and open-ended funds before joining the Financial Statement Preparation and Review team where he specialised in the review of IFRS financial statements.

Kjell Ekstrom

Chief Operations Officer

Kjell Ekstrom is an Associate Member of the Chartered Governance Institute and is a member of the Mauritius Institute of Directors. (MIOD) He has been working in the Global Business sector for the past twenty-two (22) years and has achieved excellency in servicing both local and global corporations as well as international high net worth individuals.

Out of college, Kjell started his career as a Trust Administrator at Standard Bank Trust Company (Mauritius) Ltd and then moved to Abax Corporate Services Ltd now known as Ocorian where he rose through the ranks to become Associate Director of Operations.

Kjell has then held the position of COO of Dolphin Management Services Ltd. Prior to joining Nexus, Kjell was Executive Director/ Head of Operations at Brent Consulta Management Services Limited.

Rajiv Seetul

Director - Head of Accounting and Fund Service

Rajiv currently holds the position of Director – Head of Accounting and Fund Services Team at Nexus. In this role, he heads the client accounting function and is also responsible for developing the Fund Services department. He is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), a member of the Mauritius Institute of Professional Accountants (MIPA) and the Mauritius Institute of Directors (MIoD).

Before joining Nexus, Rajiv was a Client Services Director at IQ-EQ Mauritius where he spent more than 7 years. He was responsible for client management in the Fund and Asset Managers segment and he was leading a team of 30 professional staff in the Accounting and Administration of client entities. He has worked closely with large Private Equity players by advising them in areas such as structuring, administration, accounting and taxation. He has served as director on various client entities.

Rajiv has also led several strategic initiatives such as building robust technological-focused processes, designing of accounting processes and building of large team structure.

Separately, Rajiv has spent nearly 10 years in audit practice specialised in the Asset Management Industry in renowned jurisdictions such as Mauritius, Cayman Islands and Luxembourg mainly with big four firms.

Narvin Bhugawn

Associate Director

Narvin Bhugawn is a degree holder in Finance from the University of Mauritius. He is currently an Associate Director at Nexus Global Financial Services Limited (Nexus) where he is responsible for corporate administration, company secretarial and relationship management duties.

He also acts as a director on various Global Business Licence Companies and Authorised Companies under the administration of Nexus. In a previous position, he was an Associate Manager at Ocorian Corporate Services (Mauritius) Ltd (previously known as ABAX) where he worked for 9 years in corporate administration.

 

Shamina Janoo

Business Development Director

Shamina Janoo is currently the Director of Business Development, bringing with her over 15 years of combined experience in international banking and financial services.

Prior to joining Nexus, Shamina held senior leadership positions within another management company and across two prominent local commercial banks, where she was actively involved in the international banking division. Through these roles, she developed deep expertise and broad exposure to the global business and banking sector.

Throughout her career, she has consistently delivered business growth through client-centric strategies, high-impact relationship management, and targeted market expansion initiatives.

Recognised for her professionalism and results-driven mindset, Shamina was awarded the Best Salesperson Award in 2010 during her tenure at one of the leading commercial banks in Mauritius.

Shamina is passionate about building strategic partnerships, expanding business networks, and contributing to sustainable growth for clients and stakeholders alike.

Shamina is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and has further honed her leadership capabilities through the Executive Development Leadership Course at Stellenbosch Business School.

Didier Bautoo

Deputy MLRO

Didier is a professional with a solid educational foundation, having earned a BA (Hons) in Law with Management and an LLM in International Business Law with a pathway to Mediation and Arbitration. He is furthermore a member of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists.

Professionally, he is a Compliance Officer / MLRO. His skills include expertise in compliance and anti-money laundering. Beyond work, Didier enjoys activities like hiking and photography. In the past, he has contributed as the Director of Public Relations for the Rotaract Club, showcasing his commitment to community engagement and leadership.

Zubeir Bhugeloo

Marketing Director

Zubeir Bhugeloo is Marketing Director at Nexus Global Financial Services, with responsibilities spanning marketing, business development, and people-related initiatives. He joined Nexus in early 2025, bringing close to a decade of experience across banking, investment, and corporate services.

Prior to Nexus, Zubeir held senior marketing roles in the banking and investment sectors, working across brand, digital, and strategy functions for multiple group entities.

He holds a BA (Hons) in Media Marketing from Staffordshire University and a Global MBA from Curtin University and brings a practical, hands-on approach to the role.

Norwen Veeramootoo

Head of IT & Digital Transformation

Norwen Veeramootoo currently holds the position of Head of IT & Digital Transformation at Nexus Global Financial Services Limited. He golds a BSC in Computer Science from the University of Mauritius. 

With over 10 years of experience in the technology sector, Norwen previously held the position of Cloud Solutions engineer and Cloud Solution Architect at The Cloud Factory EMEA, where he led the design, architecture and delivery of critical technology systems for a diverse portfolio of clients across the banking, finance, education, construction and hospitality industries. 

In his current role at Nexus, Norwen oversees the firm’s It infrastructure and heads its digital transformation strategy, driving the adoption of innovative technologies to enhance operational efficiency, data security and service delivery across the organisation.
