Nousrath Bhugeloo

Executive Director

Nousrath Bhugeloo is the Executive Chairperson of Nexus Global Financial Services Limited. She has over 20 years of experience in corporate services.
She is a business leader with recognised expertise in advising multinationals, funds, family offices and individual entrepreneurs on their value enhancing strategy and cross border business. Nousrath sits on the board of a number of companies and funds active in Africa. In a previous position, she spearheaded the growth strategy at ABAX, which was acquired by Ocorian in 2018. Pursuing an Africa-focused strategy, she was instrumental in the expansion and growth of the Africa-led business of the firm. She is an Associate Member of the Chartered Governance Institute and holds an Executive MBA from Essex Business School. She is an active member of women-in-business networks.

Ahmud Ismael Parwiz Jugoo

Director

Ahmud Ismael Parwiz Jugoo is a non-executive director of Nexus Global Financial Services Limited. Mr. Jugoo is a barrister-at-law and currently practices law in corporate and financial services in Mauritius. Previously Mr. Jugoo has held the positions of CEO of MADACOM S.A. in Madagascar and Legal Counsel of Celtel, Zain (MTC Group) and Airtel.


Mr. Jugoo has acted as legal advisor to multiple large telecom multinationals in numerous bids for telecommunications licenses worldwide, and was part of M&A teams during major transactions in those telecom groups. He has acted as legal advisor to the Distacom Group, which owned Orange (now PCCW) in Hong Kong, Spice Telecom in India, and MADACOM S.A. in Madagascar. Mr. Jugoo advised on GSM license bids in Ivory Coast, DRC, Mayotte, Comoros, Anjouan, Mauritius, South Africa and Lebanon. Mr. Jugoo was a pupil of Lord Marks QC of the Inner Temple, England, and of Nicolas Sorensen of the Barreau d’Aix-en-Provence, France. Mr. Jugoo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Mauritius.

 

Naweed Bhugeloo

Chief Financial Officer

Naweed is currently the Chief Financial Officer of the firm. He had cumulated 15 years of work experience before joining the Nexus team. He spent eight years of his career in the audit sector working for three of the Big Four companies namely PwC, EY and KPMG and more recently spent more than three years with IQEQ Mauritius. Through his audit journey, he has acquired valuable knowledge by getting exposure to a wide range of companies including banks, funds and listed companies. At IQEQ, he worked in the Fund team looking at the accounting side of a portfolio of both closed and open-ended funds before joining the Financial Statement Preparation and Review team where he specialised in the review of IFRS financial statements.

 

Kjell Ekstrom

Chief Operations Officer

Kjell Ekstrom is an Associate Member of the Chartered Governance Institute and is a member of the Mauritius Institute of Directors. (MIOD) He has been working in the Global Business sector for the past twenty-two (22) years and has achieved excellency in servicing both local and global corporations as well as international high net worth individuals.

Out of college, Kjell started his career as a Trust Administrator at Standard Bank Trust Company (Mauritius) Ltd and then moved to Abax Corporate Services Ltd now known as Ocorian where he rose through the ranks to become Associate Director of Operations.

Kjell has then held the position of COO of Dolphin Management Services Ltd. Prior to joining Nexus, Kjell was Executive Director/ Head of Operations at Brent Consulta Management Services Limited.

 

Narvin Bhugawn

Associate Director

Narvin Bhugawn is a degree holder in Finance from the University of Mauritius. He is currently an Associate Director at Nexus Global Financial Services Limited (Nexus) where he is responsible for corporate administration, company secretarial and relationship management duties.

He also acts as a director on various Global Business Licence Companies and Authorised Companies under the administration of Nexus. In a previous position, he was an Associate Manager at Ocorian Corporate Services (Mauritius) Ltd (previously known as ABAX) where he worked for 9 years in corporate administration.

 

Girish Mahadnac

Senior Manager

Girish is a degree holder in Management (Minor: Finance) from the University of Mauritius. He has been working in the Global Business Sector for over 11 years. He currently holds the post of Senior Manager at Nexus Global Financial Services Limited (“Nexus”) where he is responsible for Fund Administration, Company Secretarial and Relationship Management duties. He also acts as a director on various Global Business Licence Companies and Authorised Companies under the administration of Nexus. In a previous position, he was an Associate Manager at IQ EQ Global Business (Mauritius) Ltd, where he worked for 9 years in Fund, Corporate, Trust, Foundations and Domestic Structures. Girish is also a former trader of financial derivatives at GHF Futures Ltd.

Didier Bautoo

Deputy MLRO

Didier is a 27-year-old professional with a solid educational foundation, having earned a BA (Hons) in Law with Management and an LLM in International Business Law with a pathway to Mediation and Arbitration. He is furthermore a member of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists.

Professionally, he is a Compliance Officer / MLRO. His skills include expertise in compliance and anti-money laundering. Beyond work, Didier enjoys activities like hiking and photography. In the past, he has contributed as the Director of Public Relations for the Rotaract Club, showcasing his commitment to community engagement and leadership.

Aisha Choonarah

Corporate Manager

Aisha Choonarah is graduated from the Edinburgh Napier University in Business Management with Finance and holds an International Advanced Certificate in Anti-Money Laundering with the ICA International Compliance Association.  She served previously as the acting Board Secretary of the Economic Board Development of Mauritius (Former Board of Investment of Mauritius) where she worked for 10 years before joining the Global Financial Sector as the Office Manager in the Corporate and Administration sector at ATH & Associates for 6 years.  She additionally brings experience from her role as Business Development Executive at BLC Robert & Associates, a ranked law firm.  Aisha gained experience working with various offshore companies, including roles such as Clients’ File Manager at Titan Secretarial and Corporate Services and as the Senior Associate at Apex Group Centralisation Services Ltd.

Marie Behrens

Business Development Director

Marie Behrens embodies a serial entrepreneur’s spirit and a seasoned Business Development professional. Her extensive 15-year international journey spans forging pivotal partnerships and curating sustainable value for industry leaders. Her forte lies in identifying advantageous ecosystems to drive lasting value, forming robust business alliances, and optimizing operations. Marie currently holds the position of Business Development Director at Nexus Global Financial Services Limited, leading teams, spotting opportunities and fostering genuine relationships built on integrity.

Manisha Kundoo

Human Resources and Administrative Consultant

With over 14 years of experience in Administrative and HR duties, Manisha recognises the pivotal role of an independent mediator in ensuring the organisation’s welfare. She strongly advocates for HR Outsourcing services, emphasizing the value of an external perspective in shaping the HR department’s evolution in an organisation. Her professional journey spreads over 20 years across diverse industries implying the Freight Forwarding, Aviation, ICT, and Administrative and HR fields. Her expertise extends to serving as Company Secretary for several Mauritian companies.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Manisha is a member of the Board of Good, a Mauritian platform for Women Directors empowering Mauritian Women Leaders who embody the principles of moral and inclusive leadership; a member of MBN – Mauritius Business Network; a member of the AMFCE – Association Mauricienne des Femmes Chefs d’Entreprises. Notably, she is the Founder and Secretary of the Star and Key Association in Mauritius, committed to enhancing educational programs, promoting environmental sustainability, fostering multiculturalism and community respect, and supporting to alleviate poverty by providing a decent living to the needy.

 

Gilbert Mongelard

Marketing & Communication Consultant

An experienced professional marketeer and communication specialist, Gilbert brings a wide expertise across a range of competencies and industries. A rational mind, with a proven capacity to think strategically and execute plans methodically, Gilbert delivers on communication goals across channels and targets. He looks after the firm’s marketing and communication.
